Sparks of Truth

A place to find micro-blocks of regular encouragement grounded in God’s Word.

  • The more I live my life, the more I come to realize the level of dependancy on which I have on God. It would be foolish of me to look back on the few things I have done and feel any sense of pride, for it was not by my hand that brought me to where I stand now. And if I have accomplished anything good or said any words true in this life, it is only by the Providencial hand of God that I may have been a vessel for His righteousness and Kingdom’s sake. I am nothing in of myself – but in this, I can take comfort, for in my worthlessness and weakness, His strength within makes this broken vessel beautiful and strong.

  • Life is just a big balancing act. Everyone is always learning how to balance it better and better, because the moment how you think you’ve got a hold on it, it throws you off again. Some people have got the game down better than others, and that’s what we call wisdom and maturity.

Life hits everyone, some harder than others. But the important part is not just what happens to us, but how we respond to what happens to us. The choice to be proactive versus reactive is a minute by minute decision that everyone has to make. Proactive says, “Life may hit me, but I will hit it back.” Reactive says, “I hope life doesn’t hit me because then I can’t do anything about it.

You’ll find that the most well balanced people in life have learned to be proactive and responsible, choosing to get up eight times even after they’ve been knocked down seven.

So, what will you choose today? Will you take responsibility for your choices, or will you choose to let circumstances or outer influences dictate what you do?

  • To all the teens and young people…you are at the crossroad of your life right now. We are like a blank canvas or empty drawing board, with nothing but a few memories, untapped talents, unsharpened skills, and a faraway dream or two.

    Limitless. Raw. Wonderful.

The potential within us is yet to be fully unlocked. Every day, we make choices in whether we choose to work toward utilizing that potential or not.

Your life has purpose. Your life has power. Your life has potential.

How will you choose to use that potential?

Because one day, it’ll be too late.

But friend, today is not that day.

Now what are you going to do with it?

  • When my dreams align with His design, when my desire is to follow His direction, when my drive is to give Him my devotion, I am unstoppable.
